Announcement:

Conflicts and threats have highlighted the need for the survivability of our aircraft and force protection of our troops.  This training will address issues related to the lethality of enemy weapon systems from small caliber munitions to anti-aircraft missiles within the broad considerations of system design and employment.

Background:

This annual training is a collaborative effort between the Joint Combat Assessment Team (sponsored by the Joint Aircraft Survivability Program Office),  the Army Research Laboratory, Naval Air Systems Command,  Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, the Missile and Space Intelligence Center, National Ground Intelligence Center, and other agencies.  The training draws information from threat exploitation, live fire testing, and combat experience to provide a complete picture on threat lethality.  Hands-on experience is provided with threat munitions/missiles, test articles, and damaged aircraft hardware. Experienced professionals provide current, relevant information on threat system upgrades, proliferation, and lethality.

Registration & Cancellation:

Registration is open to U.S. citizens only. REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 200 ATTENDEES. ADDITIONAL REGISTRANTS WILL BE PLACED ON A WAIT LIST.

Seating is limited at the TWE, i.e. the Hurlburt Field King Auditorium.  We can guarantee two seats per unit, with additional seats filled on a first come - first served basis. If your plans change after registration, please notify the DSIAC or JCAT asap so your reserved seat can be made available to another interested party.

Monday Pre-Registration:

Pre-registration will be from 5pm – 8pm on Monday,  April 25 at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. Registrants will receive  a badge and  final program at this time.

Late registration will be available one hour prior to conference start time at the Hurlburt Field King Auditorium.  

Fees:

There is no cost for this event.  

As a convenience, daily morning and afternoon beverages as well as associated food items will be made available by the TWES support team to those attendees that sign up for them. A one-time payment for this service will be collected during registration check-in, but no receipt will be provided. Based on the newly implemented Joint Travel Regulation, this payment must be paid out of the traveler's per diem and cannot be reimbursed as an additional expense.

Transportation/Parking

Transportation:

Transportation between the airport, host hotel and Hurlburt Field King Auditorium WILL NOT be provided. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation. Carpooling is encouraged. Please note the location of visitor parking at the Hurlburt Theater on the next page.  Bus transportation will be provided from Hurlburt Field to the Eglin AFB test ranges to accommodate the live fire demonstrations.

Contractor attendees should expect an extended delay when driving through the entrance to Hurlburt Field. Please consider carpooling in a DOD member driven vehicle or allow an additional sixty minutes  travel time.

The Hurlburt Field King Auditorium is located at the red highlight on the photo map below. Auditorium parking lot (Lot 1) fills early. If the theater lot is full, please park across Cody Ave (Lot 2).  Carpooling is encouraged.

Security
Security Deadline:

The security classification of the training is SECRET/NOFORN. No foreign nationals are permitted at the training. To be admitted to the training sessions, submit a security certification form or JPAS visit request in advance and provide a government issued photo identification on-site. You may download the certification form from the conference website.  Please note that the form requires a need-to-know certification for all Government contractors.

Note Taking:

A classified notebook will only be provided upon request. Only the classified notebook and final program brochure may be taken into the meeting room. All notes related to the program content must be taken in the classified notebook. You may make certain administrative notes, such as schedule changes and speaker information in your Final Program. No notes of any kind may be taken on any other medium. Classified notebooks will be sent via secure channels to your security department. Please provide a classified mailing address at registration. 

NOTE: 

Briefcases, large purses, cell phones, pagers and other electronics are NOT allowed inside the auditorium and must be left outside the auditorium doors. Zip lock bags and a designated table will be provided for own-risk placement of devices.

There will be a no host (i.e. pay your own expenses) casual social Tuesday evening at Helen Back.

Helen Back is located right off of the Fort Walton Beach Boardwalk which is within minutes of the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 pm. If you are interested in attending this event, prepayment will be collected during  registration check-in, no receipt will be provided.  Based on the newly implemented Joint Travel Regulations, this payment must be paid out of the traveler's per diem and cannot be reimbursed as an additional expense. Please indicate on the registration form if you will be attending.

Attire:

Appropriate dress for this training is duty uniform for military or business casual for civilians. Range demonstrations currently scheduled for Tuesday will be conducted in field conditions. Weather conditions at the ranges can vary from sunny and dry to rain and mud. Please plan accordingly.
