The Joint Combat Assessment Team will host the 2018 Threat Weapons & Effects Training at Hurlburt Field, FL on 10 – 12 April 2018.  This annual training event is a collaborative effort between the Joint Combat Assessment Team, United States Army Aviation Research Laboratory, Naval Air Systems Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Missile and Space Intelligence Center, National Ground Intelligence Center, and other agencies.  The training draws information from threat exploitation, live fire testing, and combat experience to provide a complete picture on threat lethality.  Hands-on experience is provided with threat munitions/missiles, test articles, and damaged aircraft hardware. Experienced professionals provide current, relevant information on threat system upgrades, proliferation, and lethality.

Seating is limited for TWE, i.e. the Hurlburt Field King Auditorium.  We can guarantee two seats per unit, with additional seats filled on a first come - first served basis. If your plans change after registration, please notify the DSIAC or JCAT ASAP so your reserved seat can be made available to another interested party.

Monday April 9th - Check-In and Security In-Processing:
Pre-check-in will be from 5pm – 8pm on Monday, April 9th at the Holiday Inn Resort, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Registrants will receive a badge and final program at this time.
Late check-in will be available one hour prior to conference start time at the Hurlburt Field King Auditorium.

Registration Fee:
$25.00 for all attending **Attendees must pay in person**

Daily morning and afternoon beverages as well as associated food items will be made available by the TWE support team. The one-time payment for this service will be collected during registration check-in, but no receipt will be provided. Based on the newly implemented Joint Travel Regulation, this payment must be paid out of the traveler's per diem and cannot be reimbursed as an additional expense.


Uniform of the Day is working uniform (ACU, flight suit, etc.), business casual for civilians.

Transportation between the airport, host hotel and Hurlburt Field King Auditorium WILL NOT be provided. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation. Carpooling is encouraged. Please note the location of visitor parking at the Hurlburt Theater on the next page.  Bus transportation will be provided from Hurlburt Field to the Eglin AFB test ranges to accommodate the live fire demonstrations.

Contractor attendees should expect an extended delay when driving through the entrance to Hurlburt Field. Please consider carpooling in a DOD member driven vehicle or allow an additional sixty minutes travel time.

The Hurlburt Field King Auditorium is located at the red highlight on the photo map below. Auditorium parking lot (Lot 1) fills early. If the theater lot is full, please park across Cody Ave (Lot 2).  Carpooling is encouraged.

The security classification of the training is SECRET/NOFORN. No foreign nationals are permitted at the training. To be admitted to the training sessions, submit a security certification form or JPAS visit request (PREFERRED) in advance and provide a government issued photo identification on-site. Please note that Government contractors will need to fax a copy of their contract's DD254 form to JCAT, c/o Mr. Dale Kapis at (937) 656-9071.

NOTE: Briefcases, large purses, cell phones, pagers and other electronics are NOT allowed inside the auditorium and must be left outside the auditorium doors. Zip lock bags and a designated table will be provided for own-risk placement of devices.

Additional Info

Appropriate dress for this training is duty uniform for military or business casual for civilians. Range demonstrations currently scheduled for Tuesday will be conducted in field conditions. Weather conditions at the ranges can vary from sunny and dry to rain and mud. Please plan accordingly
