2015 Weapons Technologies Community of Interest (COI) / Industry Independent Research and Development (IR&D) Technology Interchange Meeting (TIM)

This initiative is led by the Weapons Technologies Community of Interest (COI) which includes experts from the Services (Army, Navy, and Air Force) and other DoD Components including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering (OASDR&E), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). The Weapons Technologies COI's S&T areas of significant interest for this interchange are in the following sub-areas: (1) Guidance, Navigation, & Control and Datalinks, (2) Propulsion, (3) Ordnance, and (4) Guided Weapon Demonstrators. Using prototyping (including additive manufacturing) and/or multi-physics modeling and simulation to enable advanced capabilities in these sub-areas at significantly- reduced development timelines or favorable costs are of particular interest. The other sub-areas of the Weapons Technologies COI (High Energy Lasers, RF Weapons, 6, and Undersea Weapons) will not be included in this TIM.
