What equipment and capital are needed to produce small, brushless, direct current (BLDC) motors used in small drone quadcopters?

DSIAC was tasked with determining what equipment and materials are required to produce small BLDC motors to use in small drone quadcopters.  DSIAC performed literary searches in open sources and the DTIC Research and Engineering Gateway for relevant information and reports related to producing and designing BLDC motors.  For additional comments and expertise, DSIAC contacted subject matter experts at SURVICE Engineering’s Applied Technology Operation and the Intelligent Systems Center at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.  The information was collected and compiled into a report delivered to the inquirer.
