Evan Patton is part of the Ground Vehicle Materials Engineering Division at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Combat Capabilities Development Center Ground Vehicle Systems Center (CCDC GVSC), where he researches blast and high strain rate behavior of composite materials for structural applications. He has researched the dynamic response of shock-loaded composite metal hybrid panels under a pseudo-blast loading induced by a free piston shock tube and applied his expertise to CCDC GVSC. Dr. Patton holds a Ph.D. in mechanical and civil engineering from Michigan State University.
