The 2020 Directed Energy Summit will showcase significant progress in maturing directed energy solutions in support of the U.S. national defense strategy. The era of “just around the corner” is over.
Defense organizations and allies will deliver capabilities over the next 2 years. These fielded systems represent an important milestone in leveraging directed energy for national security. To integrate directed energy weapons, however, will require establishing Warfighter trust and confidence on the battlefield.
The summit will also explore the growing role of directed energy in enabling the U.S. Department of Defense to be more successful in the “gray zone”—blending conventional and irregular warfare. Join in the conversation at the summit, with representatives from the Office of the Secretary of Defense; Joint Staff; U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps; legislators; and the U.S. defense industry.
