This three-day short course in aircraft combat survivability is designed to provide an overview of the aircraft combat survivability discipline.  The course is intended for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), active-duty military, and government contractors who need to better understand how to increase the survivability and combat effectiveness of air platforms in manned and unmanned systems. Many students typically work in aircraft survivability fields, such as susceptibility reduction and vulnerability reduction, survivability modeling and simulation, ballistic and vulnerability testing, and systems engineering. However, the course will also greatly benefit personnel working program management and acquisition of DoD aircraft as well as military pilots and personnel in aviation commands.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Government, contractor, and active-duty military personnel involved in manned and unmanned:

  • Susceptibility and Vulnerability Reduction
  • Survivability Modeling and Simulation (M&S)
  • Operational and Live-Fire Testing
  • Systems Engineering
  • Program Management and DoD Aircraft Acquisition
  • Aviation Commands (including military pilots)
  • Related Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Efforts

This free course, funded by the Joint Aircraft Survivability Program (JASP) and Director Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E), has no registration cost.
