Soldier Evaluation Directorate of the U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC),

Melissa Rhoads is the lead engineer for test and safety in the Soldier Evaluation Directorate of the U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC), with more than 18 years of experience planning developmental testing and performing safety evaluations. At AEC, she evaluates systems from many different commodity areas such as optics; small arms ammunition and weapons; lasers; hand grenades; non-lethal systems; chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear systems; and Stryker platforms. She previously worked at the U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity performing evaluations of systems and facilities designed to destroy the U.S. chemical munitions stockpile. Ms. Rhoads holds a B.S. in physics from Lebanon Valley College and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware.
