Free FLIR thermal data set available July 2018.

Training datasets are the key to machine learning. FLIR is offering a free thermal dataset for ADAS developers, researchers, suppliers and auto manufacturers. It features more than 10,000 annotated thermal images that can help vehicle systems “see” better both day and night. The data set can be paired with FLIR”s Automotive Development Kit (ADK) to help build fused AI algorithms.

Available July 2018, the FLIR thermal dataset enables developers to start developing and training convolutional neural networks (CNN), empowering the automotive community to create the next generation of safer and more efficient advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and driverless vehicle systems using cost-effective thermal cameras from FLIR.
