NSWC Crane and Navy leadership break ground for the new Missile Technology Evaluation Facility
CRANE, IND. March 21, 2024. Dr. Brett Seidle (SES), Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test, and Engineering, delivered remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Missile Testing Evaluation Facility held at NSWC Crane Division. Dr. Seidle (SES) was provided with a tour showcasing the base's current milestones and progress. Also speaking at the event were NSWC Crane Division Technical Director Angela Lewis (SES), NSWC Crane Division CAPT Rex Boonyobhas, and Mr. JR Ross (SSTM).

CRANE, Ind. – Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new strategic and hypersonics research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) facility on Thursday, March 21. The Missile Technology Evaluation Facility (MTEF) provides a new capability for NSWC Crane to ensure reliable performance of strategic hypersonics systems and is planned to be completed at the end of 2025.
