Overview

The 2023 Joint Aircraft Survivability Program (JASP) Model Users Meeting (JMUM) will take place the week of March 20th, 2023, at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Conference Center, 250 14th Street NW, Atlanta, GA, 30318. The purpose of this meeting is to provide model users, managers, stakeholders, and other interested individuals with information on the latest developments and updates to JASP-sponsored models and other engineering- and engagement-level models used throughout the aircraft survivability community. Apart from the traditional plenary and breakout sessions, this year’s meeting is planned to include a special high-energy laser session after the plenary session to discuss the threat of lasers, their deployment and potential CONOPS, and their kill chain.

Attendees will be briefed on the latest software developments as well as efforts to characterize threat systems and verify and validate (V&V) models and software tools. Additionally, it is anticipated that Configuration Control Board meetings will be held for the Brawler, Survivability and Lethality of Aircraft in Tactical Environments (SLATE), BlueMax, and Next-Generation Fire Model (NGFM) tools and the Pedigree threat database funded by JASP. JMUM attendees are encouraged to volunteer briefs and share insights and lessons learned from their use of aircraft survivability models during the various sessions.

The agenda is under development, so registrants are encouraged to check the Agenda tab of this site periodically ahead of the meeting for the latest schedule.
