Are there technologies that detect foreign object debris (FOD) entering jet engine inlets?

The Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) is looking for technologies supporting the Innovation and Modernization Pax and Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division that can detect FOD entering jet engine inlets or impacting jet turbine blades.  Technologies can be related to fan blade vibration sensing, speed change sensing, other sensors detecting small particles as they enter the inlet, or other innovative solutions detecting FOD events.
