The Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) is seeking U.S. companies who can produce a modern 7.62-mm NATO caliber combat sniper rifle similar to the M110 sniper rifle. The following are required for responding:
- The product must be compatible with 7.62- x 51-mm NATO cartridges, semi-automatic, and capable of 0.60″ AMR at 100 m or better with match ammunition.
- The overall length should be reduced using a shorter barrel and/or collapsible buttstock.
- The weight should be no more than 9 lb for the unloaded rifle without optics and accessories.
- The manufacturer must be a U.S. company.
