What accelerated life testing methods can be applied to small arms accessories?

DSIAC subject matter experts (SMEs) from TRI-Austin did open source and DTIC R&E Gateway article searches to assist in performing accelerated life testing (ALT) on optical assemblies. This was requested after holographic sights failed after years of military field use, even after passing military grade ruggedness testing. A compilation of DTIC and academic publications was provided to the requester.
