Can the application WINFIRE be used to model responses of the human eye?

The inquirer was interested in attempting to use WINFIRE to model the eye’s response to incident ‘assaults’ of blue (short wavelength) light. A DSIAC subject matter expert (SME) reviewed this possible utilization WINFIRE and explained that the Fire Prediction Model (FPM), WINFIRE’s core model, is not suited for this application. FPM was built to study the probability of ignition and subsequent fires in air and ground vehicle dry bays resulting from a ballistic impact, and the radiation model does not consider different spectra when looking at transmission.
