In 2020, the IEEE International Radar Conference returns to Washington, DC, an area rich in radar history. Almost 100 years ago, Albert Taylor and Leo Young observed that ships in the Potomac River interfered with their communications signals. They proposed that this phenomenon be used to detect ships, and a few years later, demonstrated the detection of aircraft. Please join us to meet and share the latest advances in radar across an expanding range of applications and be inspired by the creativity of those following in Taylor’s and Young’s footsteps. The Washington, DC area is steeped in both history and innovation and possesses world-class cultural attractions and an efficient public transport system.
