How is EPDM rocket motor insulation processed and integrated into rocket motors?
An inquirer wanted to better understand and characterize current rocket motor insulation, the development process, and integration methods to help in the process of developing a new material for State of the Art (SOTA) EPDM rocket motor insulation. DSIAC researched the process and materials using the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) R&E Gateway and open-source documents to develop a brief response for the inquirer.
