What methods can be used to test fragment impact and burn-to-violent reactions?
The sub-scale Burn-to-Violent Reaction (BVR) testing was developed for assessing sensitivity of energetic materials to fragment impact (FI), with the potential to predict full-scale performance in munitions, especially rocket motors. DSIAC subject matter experts briefly summarized the history and current state of BVR testing of fragment impact and provided the written summary to the inquirer.
