What research efforts are on-going regarding undersea networking communications and architectures?
DSIAC staff and subject matter experts (SMEs) from Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) was asked to find information related to undersea sensor networks. Such networks have been conceived, researched, and developed for a number of applications ranging from intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, mine detection, anti-submarine warfare, oceanographic data collection, pollution monitoring, offshore exploration, disaster prevention, and assisted navigation. DSIAC compiled a bibliography of possibly pertinent papers to go along with a list of researching organizations and technical summary then delivered the findings to the inquirer.
