Dr. Jing Zhang

Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Zhang’s recent research interests include additive manufacturing and ceramic materials for energy applications. He is collaborating with the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Army Research Laboratory (CRADA 19-013-001), Praxair Surface Technologies, and Argonne National Laboratory to develop novel coating technologies on 3-D-printed metals. The process will significantly
improve mechanical and thermal properties of 3-D-printed materials.
