Recent technology development for hypersonic vehicles has posed several challenges from a fluid and solid perspective. We will discuss both perspectives, including the intrinsic angular momentum coupling with linear momentum and a manufacturing-driven integrated computational materials engineering framework for ceramics-related materials at a wide range of temperatures.
